Trying to overcome the obsolescence

Oracle Glassfish Server Tools at Eclipse Juno.

On my last post i explained how to install and make a basic configuration of Glassfish in a server machine. But you also can install Glassfish as a Eclipse Plug-in if you want to use it in a development environment.

Here I explain a few tricks to do it in Eclipse Juno.

The only thing you have to know is that the update site for this plug-in is at:

http://download.java.net/glassfish/eclipse/juno

Go to Eclipse –> Menu Help –> Install new software… add Ther update server ath the list of available sites and install all options.

After installing and restarting Eclipse you can add a new server at Servers view choosing a Glassfish 3.1.2.2 server. The root of the server will be:

$eclipse_install_dir\plugins\oracle.eclipse.runtime.glassfish.build3122_1.0.0\glassfish3\glassfish\domains\domain1
